3. Types we use

Strictly necessary

Required for core security and functionality (session authentication, CSRF tokens, load balancing). These do not require consent in most jurisdictions because the Service cannot work reliably without them.

Preferences

Remember choices such as light/dark theme or recently selected campus context so you do not have to reconfigure on every visit.

Analytics & performance

Help us understand which pages and flows are used (for example home funnel events). Where required by law, we use these only with appropriate consent or under a permitted exemption for aggregated measurement. Data is used to improve the product, not to sell personal profiles.

Third-party

Some features embed or call third parties — including Google and Apple for Sign in, payment processors, and CDNs. Those parties may set their own cookies or local storage under their policies when you use those features. Authentication with Google/Apple may involve cookies or storage on their domains that we do not control.

4. How to manage cookies

  • Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break login, forms, or checkout.
  • Use private/incognito windows for temporary browsing without long-lived preference cookies.
  • Sign out of your account on shared devices.
  • For mobile apps, review OS-level tracking and notification permissions.
If we add a cookie preference centre on the website, your choices there will control non-essential cookies for that browser. Until then, browser controls remain the primary way to limit optional cookies.
